INSOMNIA- A disorder that burdens your thoughts over sleep.

Insomnia is a sleep disorder in which you have trouble falling or staying asleep. The condition can be short term or can last a long time i.e acute or chronic insomnia. Acute insomnia lasts from one night to a few weeks. Insomnia can be chronic when it happens at least 3 nights a week for 3 months or more.
Causes of INSOMNIA:

Stress, anxiety, work schedule and depression are the firm reasons for insomnia. It's a disorder that slows down memory functions to a very large extent and most importantly in the long run depletes your health. As a student, I can assure you that I have and still am suffering from acute insomnia. There are days where i am desperate to sleep but my mind just refuses to stop working. Infact, the thought, “I should be asleep” echoes through every experience of insomnia, as does the imagined loss of productivity in the following day (“I will pay for this tomorrow”). These echoes bring with them agitation, anxiety and anger.
Strategies to cope with INSOMNIA:
Research increasingly suggests that the best method of escaping insomnia is to avoid a direct, one-on-one conflict with it. Give up on the time of waiting to fall asleep and just engage yourself into doing something boring which will also make you more tired.

I can't stress enough on how a good sleep helps you and completely reforms your capabilities and abilities in your daily life. So overstretching your brain and thinking about your future will ironically harm your present as well as your future too. So relax yourself and break-up with insomnia.
